By the sea

Daily writing prompt
Go on a walk today and share a photo of something that catches your eye.

Finding myself with a day off, I used it wisely and enjoyed the sunshine. In fact I have been making best use of thie pleasant weather since it started and though it is often too hot to think about, I am not going to complain. I took my hat, my wallet and phone and went down to the south coast for a few hours. Southsea is a couple of hours drive from here and I made best use of it. Saving myself the agonies of the fun fair and amuesment arcades, I took a stroll along the beach instead and went for a paddle.

If only I had taken my swimming trunks, I did look at them before leaving, but left them behind for some reason. I shall know better next time. It was not a day for messing around in old forts and ships< I have done those places and the museums too, been there and done that . No real point in going again. It seems too much like wasting the sunshine, to be cooped up in some dark building. Though, I imagine it would have been considerably cooler and more comfortable than being outside.

AS predictable, there were lots of people out, crowds actually. I do not know how many had called in crook that morning, but I imagine there would have one or two-maybe three. Nor do I blame them, anyway I should not point the finger at myself. Anyway I leave with a few photos to look at, I will be back there soon, or nearby.
