Out of all the places in the world I wnt to visit, there is one I definitely do not want to visit. Or at least not yet. it is not Syria, which looks like an Islamist hell hole, or Iran which is currently having a problem with exploding ordnance.Nor is it the United States, which has an increasingly mentally unwell president. Unless of course that is his normal behaviour or he is just a very good actor. saudi Arabia looks off the menu for being a little to near to all the action, as does kuwait. If I were to be honest, boiling heat and masses of sand have never done it for me. I do not even like sitting on the beach, sand gets everywhere, its horrible and a bloody pain in the arse. (sometimes literally) So I guess that kind of fucks up Quatar and the rest of that region too. Along with Iraq and Afghanistan, which having no coastline has Taliban instead who are almost as bad.
In fact all of the above appear quite pleasant, when it comes to that one country I have no wish to visit. This country is not an ancient land, it is only around 70 years old and is populated with mainly a diaspora of Eastern Europeans(Kazars) Those who survived the attentions of the Nazi’s and other pogroms. Imagine if those people had been more efficient, then we not have half the problems we have now. This country is widely regarded by many as a pariah terrorist state. Hypocritical in the extreme, murderous, tyrannical and the meeting point of the three Abrahamic religions. It is the direct result of a series of letters between a Mr. Rothschild ( The banker) and Mr. Balfour, the then foreign secretary and was formally recognised by the UN in 1948 and has caused nothing but trouble ever since. It is a country whose Prime minister is a probable sociopath and where people stuff little bits of paper into the cracks in the wall of an old Roman fortress. A friend who visited the place described it is as stinking heat, and not much nut rocks and sand. a place where they have turned their neighbours into near slaves and the supposed holy sites of Galilee and the River Jordan into an open sewer and cess pit. But that was twenty odd years ago and things may have changed by now. A few more houses have been blown up, people have been displaced and they hang people (probably) For being the wrong nationality.
This country is Israel.
