Daily writing prompt
What books do you want to read?

I have a whole pile of books I want to read. In fact where I am now in my study doubles up as a library and where there are libraries there are books. it would be pointless time consuming writing down everything here that i have to read, acsue that list will have changed in a few days and the shelf space shrunk. Shall I just say it is doubtful whether I will ever get round to reading everything. Even on audiobook, that task will still be pretty awesome. There are simply not enough hours in the day, but I will have a damned good go at doing this and may just die whilst doing so.

We all have to die at some point. Even the worlds oldest man died of something. (old age) And what did he leave behind? memories, some clothes maybe a few books. How many books did he read over his lifetime? Ask yourself that. Did he even read? Thats another question right? Life is full of questions and some of them, you never get the answer to. Or maybe you have done and are just too deaf and or blind to appreciate the answer you have been given.

EVA BRAUN

I am currently reading a memoir of a soldier of WW1 who served alongside Adolf Hitler, Hans Von Mend. It makes for a fairly interesting read. Though I suspect it has been glossed up a bit, to appeal more to the readership of the time it was first published in the 1930’s. It is certainly much better going than that pack of BS that claimed to be Eva Brauns diary, editted by a certain Alan Bartlett who amongst other things had been knowledgeable on metallurgy and cutlery. To be honest that book was so flawed it made the Titanic look flawless. I took it back to where it had come from. The book that is, not the ship. If you want to know about Hitlers mistress, there are several authoritative books on the subject and each of them is better than the one mentioned above. Which was very difficult to read for the numerous inaccuracies and general failure of any kind of competent ressearch. I suspect it was written by someone in a cynical attempt to make money, using sensationalism rather than anything factual. In fact I have read elsewhere warning of such a thing, but that did not give an author. However the Bartlett thing carries enough of the same tropes for it to be probably the same thing. Sadly there are more than enough of these cynical attempts at money making through peddling lies and fiction dressed up as fact. Take the woman who peddled a story about escaping from some place in Poland during the 1940’s and being raised by wolves! They claim these stories to be true, cause they say they are in their own minds and when they are criticised cry ANTI-SEMITE!. Which is another lie when the people who do the crying inevitably come from Poland,Estonia, Easterm Europe, Latvia and the region around the Caucasus. Who are as far removed from being semites as an Inuit has claim to call himself Arabic.
