Do I want to visit?
Lets start with Paris (again), Berlin (again) Barcelona and a few other places too. I have just not thought of them yet. Caen springs to mind as does Hamburg and NYC ( again) Actually I have already been to there but only briefly and only got to see a very small area. The same applies to Paris and Berlin but more on them another day.

Each of these places has galleries and museums to visit too many to mention and each city will need a few days hard trotting around and will provide plenty of stimulation heart and soul. I might try Athens again, the last time it was a bit minging and 35+ years ago, so something ought to have changed by now. Hopefully for the better. Rome, been there, done that, not interested in seeing Popes. Though having chucked coins in the Trevi fountain I fully expect to be inveigled back one day. It is horrific in summer, absolutely boiling, Naples too and looks interesting enough, though beware of the season, in summer it is horrendous.

Amsterdam? I could not care less for those coffee shops or the prostitutes, but the Rijks Museum looks nice. In fact there are many cities I could think of and one has the thinking cap on, the ideas just pour in. I know people in Bogota Colombia, did know people in Tirana, Albania and there are friends in California and Florida, though whether they live in cities I am not sure. In the US a city has a different designation to over here in Europe, so that may be cheating a little. You see a city over here, traditionally had a University and Cathedral or two, just like Oxford and or London. Some of these cities develeoped into centres of commerce and industry, such as Liverpool, Newcastle and Sheffield.

In time, I should like to visit St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Novgorod and Moscow. Russia has a certain appeal to me, I like Russia. Bucharest? maybe, someday. One thing is for certain, I have to visit Oxford again sometime.
