TRIGGER WARNING- ANIMAL SLAUGHTER
Eating meat, makes me think a lot. Killing an innocent living being to satisfy my own lusts. Yes, meat is tasty, meat is good and I enjoy eating it. However I dod not like violence and killing is violence, not matter how HUMANE the slaughter. No slaughter is humane, no matter how humane the experts claim it to be. If you have ever sat behind a lorry full of animals going to the slaughterhouse, seen the fear in another beings eyes before it is desptached, then you will know what I mean. If not, then you are not missing very much. I have been vegetarian, I fell out of vegetarianism. I tried veganism ( plant based) I like cheese.
I eat less red meat, than before, more chicken and or fish and a whole lot more vegetable based foods, than I did before. Whether it does any good I do not know. But this I do know, slaughter houses are little better than extermination camps as allegedly run by the Nazi regime. It is just the commodity that is different. Animals, like Jews and any other wretch who got in the way, lining up to be killed and processewd. The only difference There is, the cows don’t get turned into soap. Not that the were humans either. I mean why would a regime that considered some people to be filthy and disgusting ,then turn them into soap? it’s illogical.
Blood and bone, does wonders on the garden, makes the raspberries grow and I wear leather shoes. That is when I wear shoes, as I prefer canvas sandals. If animals could talk, or rather if we could understand them, what would we hear? or would we even be able to listen? Perhaps it would be deafening. We have just Thanks giving, or at least in the U.S. you have. Some genocides are silenced by political outcry, you are not allowed to critcise or question them, for fear of of imprisonment or being called an Anti-Semite. This Christmas like many past there will be another genocide, that of the Turkey and its friends. The pig, The chicken, The cow and The Fish. Yes, thats right, fish slaughter will take place in abundance.
Have a merry Christmas this year and consider the bloodshed, or the blood soaked table cloth as you stuff your face with slaughtered fowls and other assorted roast animal flesh. My Christmas dinner this year, may just be vegetarian and so might lunch the next day. However, I am not rushing into anything or making any rash promises. As for that other genocide…
