This is the one piece of technology, I would not miss and indeed have long since removed from my home. Actually, that is a lie, it is the ability to receive a broadcast signal, to receive a television signal either through terrestrial or via satelite. I do not miss the rubbish they broadcast, not wish to watch sport, soap opera’s, reality tv or any other such stuff. Life is much more peaceful without any of this and it mans I can get on and do a hundred other things instead. In fact the only reason I do have a television is to be able to watch DVD’s and that is a once in a blue moon kind of experience. try going without television for a week and see how much of your life was spent in front of the thing. Then realise how much more you could be doing without its constant drone.

ELSEWHERE: I have got myself back into the habit of writing. Not every day, or at least, not every every day. But am back writing. Finishing off old stuff, editting through some of the longer stuff and writing more on stuff that has been neglected for too long.

I have found it increasingly important to take time out and look after the various aspects of my creativity. It is no good, doing one thing for days on end, then resenting it for an age afterwards. Like one does not want to see a keyboard or WP package again. There should be and must be, some degree of fun in everyting. It is work, yes and work can sometimes be a four letter word. In fact it is. But so is love and that is something we all need.

The novel, if it is a novel. Though it seems to be turning into a major epic. The one situated in early Twentieth century Austria, is coming along nicely. I took a small diversion, a while ago, to build upon another character and now must go back to the main thrust of the book. By that I mean, edit through and build upon another chapter, do some research and put woolly socks on my feet.

All of this whilst remembering spelling mistakes, grammatical errors and the like can be corrected via the spell checker and a proof reader respectively. Not doing so, just messes up the flow and that leads to frustration and swearing. Two things, with which Icould do with less of.

I think this is as much as I want to write right now.
