Daily writing prompt
What brings you peace?

First and foremost I can say being creative helps enormously. Getting lost in the moment, peace and quiet and preferably not too much if anything going on around me. There are many forms in which creativity can take form: In the Dojo, in the studio painting and then there is the garden. I really mmust do some more gardening, it is getting overgrown and the grass is nearly knee high. I am have no immediate desire to chop the stuff down. Nor is there any immediate desire to do anything like that. The Grass hoppers and other small creatures are living there plus the children. ( Cats) Are enjoying the shade it brigs them in these long warm days we are enjoying of late. Peace brings me peace, knowing my day has been spent doing the best of what is available to. Avoiding the senselessness of social media and petty chatter about rubbish. during the day or at least part of it, I like to write, like I am now but more on the novel. Some day I will get around to posting some of it here, amybe the whole of it. But that remains to be seen. Either way it is not spaced into chapters, more parts. And I will probably stick with things like they are. Whether one part is ten thousand words and the next two thousand does not matter a jot to me, it is how it is written.

Elsewhere, greater peace has come to my table as the dentist has been dealt with and my teeth are clean(er). Also I am not obliged to attend the obligation until much later in the month, which comes as a small relief. In the meantime buying a lottery ticket seems a good idea, then attending the obligation will become just a memory. The obligation BTW is a beastly thing unemployed people sometimes have to do, it is quite ghastly and totally overrated. I went to say hello to the Dog this morning and discovered it had cracked off a large pile in its living quarters during the night. If I did not know any better it would be easy to mistake it for something left behind by a rhinoceros. It was huge. I am glad the NO.2 if you excuse the pun, was there to do the honours. I did take the shovel to do the duty, but he seemed quite happy to use a bag. Having a Dog is no longer on my bucket list.

Having the house to myself is something I treasure and love. Peace and quiet are in short supply some days and I value each moment I get. Whether it is being creative, creating or simply doing the washing up, it is all good and I love every minute of it. Making space either literally or metaphorically brings great pleasure. As does being able to access cupboards again and put stuff away that I am not using. Getting stuff off of the floor and making plans for new fittings and the like is also good fun. It is a good excuse for drawing and visualizing what shall become.
