What would you change about modern society?

Haha, a good question, Several things. Though that is not why I am writing now. I needed a break from book writing and knowing I have not blogged in a few days thought it would be a good idea to take a break and do so. It creates a space to pause and take stock of things and decide where things are going next. Creatively I think I am on the right track and have some ideas to be getting on with. Business wise, well a few ideas again have been walking around on the periphery and I know the Govt. want me off their books. actually I want off of their books, so it is a mutual feeling, no hard feelings just better for the both us. If you have ever been a recipient of state benefit and have found it a nightmare to escape it, then you will know what I mean. If your country does not do state benefit then my commiserations, you are not missing much and know who the real crooks are.

I have written loads on what people can, the state can do to improve the lot of their citizenry. As humans we usually look to move forward to strive towards the light and what is good for us, governments on the other hand. Well do I have to spell it out? Turn off the televison, stop buying newspapers, spend more time in nature, avoid alcohol, be creative. I have said all these things before and will probably say them again before the year is out.

So anyway about the book, it is set in Austria in 1911, lots has already been written and I left in winter to focus on another character. That way I can decide what happens to the male protagonist and some other stuff to. I am putting further education on hold for the time being, though for how long I have no idea. Right now it is perhaps to focus more on creating capital and escaping the benefits trap, rather than increasing my student loan. Actually of that I am not so bothered, they can keep their debt and as it stands I have no means to clear it either.

What else, the cats are or have been punishing me for having gone on holiday by refusing to of recent, eat their food. Franceska is still holding out and is I suspect upset or has some other concern about her. She ate some grilled chicken today and I will continue to monitor and look after her. The painting has been a little slow of late, so not much to show there. More so has the amount of clearing up, throwing away and sorting through of things, mental clutter being done away with all the physical detritus that collects around us. Old clothes, dried out tubes of paint and other crap as well, it all needs to go and has gone.
