What are your favorite sports to watch and play?

… To watch sport, take part in sport or even read about sport. Sport bores me distracts me and is something I do not get enthused with. I can safely say I have been to one football match in my life. Which admittedly was quite interesting, though my personal interest in the sport is nil. I detested playing it at school, along with Rugby and any other team sport or that involving a ball. Mostly it was poor eye- hand co- ordination that saw to that and the inability of other people to recognise that a pair of glasses might have improved matters. As a result the only thing I seemed to be good at was shooting and barely even that nowadays, though a recent search for local gun clubs has re-awakened that interest.

Not having a television means I have to find other hobbies than sitting on my bum watching people kicking balls around. Being teetotal and disliking crowds I don’t do pubs either. In fact the last I did this, was during the Rugby World Cup a couple of years ago when I pinched a nice looking glass.

I am not averse to physical activity, just sport. Karate is not a sport, it is a martial art, though there is such a thing as sport Karate. I guess watching the Tour De France is nice, more for the dramatic scenery the race goes through rather than the Herculean efforts the humans put themselves through. Going into town along the tow path is good for me, I do not think the old Jalopy I ride will take much of anything else and there are no mountains nearby which is probably just as well.

Saying that I did win the three legged race as a ten/eleven year old with another guy twice in successive years, does that count?
