Too long spent staring at computer screens makes my eyes sore. Actually and right, now just thinking of looking at one makes my eyes sore and that is why I am writing. I am biding my time before probably going for a swim at the local pool, though judging by how my legs feel I have a better chance of sinking than much else. Perhaps I ought to just hop on the bicycle and go get some exercise that way instead. I have to go out at some point in any case, but currently watching the kitten trying to catch the mouse pointer is far more fun. His curiosity for all and every is without bounds, as his appetite for anything remotely edible. ( Bread and potatoes) If he turns into a vegetarian then I will probably have done something wrong. Which makes me ask why do pet food manufacturers insist in putting stuff like Peas and carrots in their cat food? Don’t they understand that cats are obligate carnivores? They have to and must eat meat, if they don’t they get sick and die, it is as simple as that. The other culprits of course are the supermarkets who sell the stuff, they are guilty of the same offence. Now in saying that what was I saying about young master Tucker ( The Kitten) and his fascination with boiled and or sweet potatoes? He is a growing cat and a semi feral one at that, most of his short life so far has been spent on the brink. grabbing what he could, when he could and not very much of it either. That was until he was captured, and shut in a pen where he got three square meals a day along with his two siblings and mother. The rest as they say is history. I am happy to say he is as cheeky and naughty as any healthy young cat, his early life experiences have done none the worse for him and after a few brief introductions has been accepted as a family member by all the other felines here.
My landlord will I think have a fit when and if he finds out about the new tenant, but at least this one does not skimp on the rent and or break things. His occasional accidents are soon cleared up and are few and far between, he has been successfully garden trained and likes to sleep on the desk where he can be stroked and loved at every opportunity. I know I write affair bit about the cats, I have five of them so it is hardly surprising. You may think of me as a mad cat man, I have a close relative down the road who has around eleven (discounting strays, lodgers and kittens) There again she does have a slightly larger house then I do. Larger house or otherwise, I would like a pad with a separate art studio, a swimming pool with retractable roof and several other things too. I do not think I need or for that matter want any more cats, not right now anyway. After the deliberating earlier on I did go swimming, the first time in quite a while I did not attempt the so called freestyle/ crawl and stuck to breast stroke. It is safer requires less co-ordination and there is less chance of swallowing large amounts of chlorinated water and or sinking. I do not like sinking, though the idea of being rescued by the right person does have a certain appeal.
Last evening was spent as ever painting, I see no reason that the same thing should not happen tonight.
