This was the theme of last nights dream, or at least that which I woke up to. baking bread is actually quite good fun, if not a little time consuming. It needs kneading, proving and other forms of jiggery pokery to make the stuff do its magic and provide nourishing, wholesome food. I have baked bread a number of times before, the last time probably when J was last here, so perhaps I ought to get on and bake some more. Not that J is heading here anytime soon, but because I have time on my hands and it saves the bother of buying the shop made stuff. Which unless you have a bakers shop nearby is probably best avoided. My waking moments after having this dream were (1) Spent contemplating the large cat sat on my chest and (2) Bread making machines. Right now I am or until a moment ago it was the same cat sat on my lap and reading reviews of said machines and having decided against the extra machine in the kitchen. I am now thinking about going out and getting bread flour and doing something therapeutic perhaps and then eating the results. Doing ths will not only provide an exercise in relaxation and nice baking smells, but also an exercise in small cat management, the current policy being that small cats are sent to sit on the stairs or go to their room. The theory is fine, the practice as can be imagined is something else. The cat does not understand, or simply ignores everything I saw to him and must have been a flea in a past life. He jumps everywhere incessantly and without tiring, thinking that everything is laid out for him to sample and otherwise eat. This includes Yorkshire puddings, mashed potatoes, vegetables and Granola.

Little Tucker as he is known, is more of an omnivore than a carnivore, encouraging him to a more natural diet is I think going to be fairly easy. He is a rapidly growing kitten and is eating according to his needs. In speaking about Tucker, his two brothers have both been adopted into loving homes, which saves me a bother as it was my plan to do that. However seven cats in my small home, is probably two cats too many on top of the five I already have. Saying that I would like a another black and white female to balance the demographics but that can wait for another day. We are in no hurry for any new arrivals on top of the new arrival.

In other news, I have been doing lots of drawing albeit with a ball point pen, quick five minute ( Or so) efforts. Where I can be sat on the couch, watching a video and working away with my legs wrapped up in a blanket. The kitten likes playing with the mouse pointer and loves things that light up as it passes over or sits on them. Like any small child, everything is interesting and new, the pink things that poke out from under the duvet are especially wonderful, all the more so, when they are bitten and retreat suddenly. The adults are taking to him by degree’s, certainly there have been no great arguments since he arrived, Franceska is being a bitch, but she is like that to everyone.
