A few days ago I unearthed a wolf in sheep’s clothing, one that jumped when prodded and started behaving in an erratic and untypical fashion as soon as it was confronted with a pike. If you are thinking what on earth I was doing poking a wolf with a large fresh water fish, then think again. A Pike was a long defensive weapon about eight foot long sharpened at one end and or topped with an iron spike. It was used primarily to deter enemy cavalry from upsetting massed infantry, archers and or musket men. The idea that horses would panic, topple their riders and otherwise create a bloody mess upon the ground. One has to imagine it worked or they would not have bothered with it in the the first place right?

The other pike is a member of the genus (Esox) and can grow up to around 150cm and 25 kg in weight, the latter being the current accepted world record for the fish. Other than that I have little or no knowledge of the species, have not seen one in the wild and as a result have had absolutely no interaction with them. It is just another irrelevant piece of information, that is somehow tied to the first paragraph. I will not mention the word Pikey here, oh no I just have. It is not related to either the fish or the defensive weapon mentioned previously. If you are curious as to its definition you can find out for yourself
Letting of old and out worn stuff has never been easier, when you see people in their true light, seeing and hearing their toxicity. It provides good reasoning for clearing out the cupboard, making space for new stuff to come flowing in. For one of them I have no animosity, I just don’t particularly want to listen to his ranting, raving and blaming. Nor do I want or am I interested in the commodities he offers, If ever I am I will work around my ego and drink tea instead. BTW this is my ego speaking, there is no doubt about that. The ego likes to be heard and recognised and how it goes about this is largely a reflection of its owner, so I hope this does not sound too egotistical.

In the meantime I will be doing some moving around, tidying away and other little things, all to make a safe and welcoming environment. The sound of small feet will be heard here tomorrow and I would not want anything to cause nuisance as they navigate around their new home.
