I think I am done with some aspects of life, one of those is travelling miles each day to go to work. Another is clearing up shit, snot, piss and or vomit. Nor do I have any plans to work in a shop again or toil in a warehouse or like environment. I am done with the whole lot of it and have surrendered fully to be that of being an artist and occasional gardener. Especially so when clients decide they are putting my wages up, I even get to decide the hours I work.
It is very important to find satisfaction at work and have a career/employment you actually enjoy. If you actually want to get up and go this employment because of the above then even better. Doing things you enjoy and that give pleasure help sustain and make life a fulfilling and pleasant experience. If your manager is a decent person, knows their job and is relatively laid back then even better. If it is otherwise then this is not so great, going to work just pays your bills and makes you annoyed because you feel unfulfilled and it pisses you off. You will probably be better off looking for something else, but the labour market has shrunk and there are 600 hundred people alone applying for the job in the restaurant down the road let alone the numbers looking to work in your place. Like it or not you are better off staying where you are, its not likely you are going to get a promotion. (Soon) Your employer has to tick the boxes and keep up with that diversity and equality stuff. You earn not more more than some sap at the burger joint and your job is 10 times more demanding. You feel you are being taken for a C*NT and your take home pay is pathetic. Three days after pay day and you are back to nothing, the food bank is beginning to look like a serious option.
I absolutely loathe the idea of going into town tomorrow, but it maybe for the better plus I can pop round my mates place afterwards. That is if my schedule does not change too much in the meantime. Hopefully the shower will be mended tomorrow, I do not like washing my hair in the bath.
