Today is Sunday and in the Christian tradition that means the Sabbath. A day in which the observant abstain from servile labours and do something else instead. Some of us go to garden centres, others stately homes… For myself, not being observant of any kind of organised belief system it is the lawn and the swimming pool, one followed by the other. Though not necessarily in the given order. There is also the small question of putting a net over the fish pond, strimming around the pond and putting the washing out to dry. All fine things to do on the Sabbath day.

Elsewhere I am being spoilt for choice in terms of filling the space that is fast appearing in my home. No it is not a sink hole. But is something that can be turned to profit, which in this day and age is nothing to be sniffed at. I am seriously considering taking myself on holiday in the near future, my last one being a day trip to Wales. My mental health is behaving itself and I am keeping on top of things. Having a list of things to do helps, but is certainly not the panacea for all things, just some. For everything else there is gardening, creativity and finding the energy to put the required movements into place to do them.
